The lustrous lead gray Dufrenoysite formed as dark masses in a contrasting white Dolomite matrix. Also imbedded in the matrix are itty bitty Pyrite crystals. Magnification is a must for both these lead minerals. Dufrenoysite is an uncommon lead arsenate sulfide containing 20.68% Arsenic, 57.19% Lead and 22.13% Sulfur.
This is a TYPE LOCALITY SPECIMEN. It is from the famous Lengenbach locality that is well known for its plethora of minerals.
This pinkie sized specimen was in the vast systematic collection of well known mineral collector, our dear friend, Neil Wintringham. Included in this sale is this exact specimen plus our yellow Nature’s Window label that lists the minerals, location, chemical formulas and pedigree.

All our minerals come complete with a descriptive label. Our labels are different than other sellers’ labels. Our labels are specifically designed to sit upright in a white cotton lined box or on a shelf with your specimen on it. You can add information on the bottom portion without obliterating the data about the item. Our label will not blow away if your dog, cat or bird wags its tail~!!
