DescriptionA rare and very large Knobkerrie or club , A stunning piece it is copper wire bound to the handle and head , this a large and important piece it would have been owner by some one of high Zulu standing, the handle wire in 2 tone twisted pattern typical of Zulu work ,the shaft wire complete the head wire has parted midway on the curve [ most are lost and shown without wire or did not have it being more work when made , length 85 cm the head approx 8.8 cm x 7.2 cm the top of flat form , the top wire detached like a cap, the shaft approx 3 cm wide.a good early item approx 1880 . one gone 2 left from a collection of 3 .
