Truth is an elegant perfume built on the contrast between the notes of cool, fresh grass and the warmth of woman’s skin. Simple and natural, clean and fresh, just like a brook among the fresh green summer grass. Main notes are bamboo, wet woods, white peony, vanilla, white amber and sandalwood. It was launched in 2000
This is another goodie from Calvin Klein - a bit similar to Truth Lush - but I think the vanilla and peony especially make it differ from the other formula. This again opens with the bamboo but has wet woods added that give a clean, fresh note with a bit of an aquatic feel. Next the white peony adds it sweet hint of floral note that is similar to a rose but not as deep, but reminiscent of honeysuckle or lily and soon the blend is tempered by the lush, smooth vanilla and clean white amber which adds another level of freshness to it and a clean skin quality and then the sandalwood lends it's creamy, woody tone. This wears quite softly and it's gorgeous......but then I love fragrance with a vanilla/sandalwood base......but this does blend together really well.....leaving no single note trying to grab the attention ......which makes it and extremely attractive fragrance!!
NOTE: I have collected and studied fragrance and aromatherapy for years (30 or so) and am very knowledgeable with notes and such. If you have any questions prior to purchasing, please feel free to contact me. Please be sure to ALWAYS try the fragrance on your skin and wear it at least 3-4 times and NOT just sniff it out of the bottle. If there is one thing I've learned over the years is that sometimes a top note will be "offensive" to your nose, but those tend to show up more in the bottle or on first sniff and tend to burn off as you wear them. I always remember this analogy when trying a fragrance, Fragrance...is special like a symphony playing out on your skin, you have to let it go thru all of it's beautiful notes!! Believe me, you will learn to cultivate your sense of smell and get to know the "notes". Also, sometimes, it takes 3-4 days to acclimate to a fragrance. I always remember my first experience with trying Fabienne's, The Moon, on first sniff, I HATED it, but after I wore it a week, I fell deeply in love with it as I appreciated it's symphony of notes and now I enjoy a large bottle and treasure it!!!
I live in a smoke free home and store my oils in a cool dark place, although all of my oils are freshly received and packaged upon receipt.
