Brief Introduction about Down
Down is fine soft feathers, which is obtained from ducks or geese and used as light, warm-keeping wadding in winter clothing, quilt and sleeping bags. Given the high complexity and cost to get quality down, typically it would be mixed with cut up feathers to make the final filling. The quality of a Down-filling is determined by the portion of the mixture. Generally the filling has a better quality, if it includes a higher portion of Down.
