This is a magnificent estate jewel!!! Absolutely the finest quality.  

This classic Edwardian - Victorian ring is so desirable.  It features a wonderful antique diamond in the center of a beautiful natural mined black onyx which is set in a beautifully made 18K rose gold setting.

The diamond is approximately 6 points and is approximately G-H-I color and VS clarity.  It has beautiful fire and sparkle!  I love the way it is set in a beautiful cannetille (beaded) bordered setting in white gold.  The diamond sits in a beautiful navette shaped black onyx.    The shape of the ring is absolutely wonderful  and the open details in the gold which continue onto the shank give it such style!   The jewel comes from a wonderful New York City estate.  The ring dates to the Victorian-Edwardian period c1870-1910.

The ring is in superb period condition.  There is no apparent damage to the gold.  The diamond is a natural mined gem in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  The onyx is in excellent condition.  The onyx is 28 mm by 8 mm.   The ring is hallmarked  18K with further makers marks.  The ring is currently a size 7 1/2 US (P UK) and can be easily resized if desired.  The ring weighs 3.3 grams.
