Tang Horse Sculpture

I bought this piece at an estate sale, it's in excellent condition with out chips or damage.

From my research this is my understanding:

• Each piece is individually hand-painted in different faux finishes
• Hand-cast using real crushed stone bonded with high quality designer resin

The elite of the Tang dynasty (618-907) stocked their graves with lavish 

items such as horse sculptures to ensure a comfortable afterlife 

A bowed head, flowing mane and musculature pay homage to this high quality statue.  

This Asian horse sculpture is hand rubbed and set atop a solid blackish patina base with a felt bottom

The Tang Horse Statue is individually hand cast which highlights the sculptural uniqueness and guarantees a heirloom quality 

Color and patina are impeccably applied by hand one piece at a time to create this unique & handsome Tang Horse
