Wonderful vintage guitar, I put the black pick up rings, chrome scratch guard, toggle switch and selector knob and new volume / tone knobs onto the guitar but I still have all the original cream hardware (of course included in the sale) for all of these if you prefer that classic look and want to change it back to that. Everything is stock other than the upgraded Schaller tuners which the people in Forsyths music in Manchester installed I believe it was 4 years ago. It's a very smooth to play instrument, nice quick neck and the clean tones from the neck and the bite of the bridge humbucker are awesome. There are some 'dinks' and litltle cosmetic blemishes, some like the worn look but this is just from over the years as the guitar is now 24 years of age! There's no big chips to paint or really any actual chipping off of paint on the guitar, more just some light indentations etc Serial is 91761419 and gives this production information; Nashville Plant, TN, USA on June 25th, 1991 Production Number: 119  Postage is via UPS next day courier and for extras, here's a few clips of me playing the Les Paul, always with the tone and volume on 10 in the different examples. https://infinit.io/_/32wKRhE Info update for anyone who has previously viewed this listing; After having a message from an ebay user on 05/02/17 stating they thought it wasn't an '81 we had an email exchange and I've since been doing a lot of research and have taken the guitar to be seen in a local music shop to try and shed some light on older Les Pauls.  The serial on the back of the headstock is the best indicator but it looks like it's a 9 rather than an 8 at the start as I'd previously thought, the original tuning peg on that side seems to have created a bit of a indentation into the wood to cause the ambiguity and make it seem like it could be an 8 rather than the 9 which is more likely for it to be based on other additional factors.  The kind of the case the Les paul has was introduced as the standard case in 1989, this isn't definitive proof as the case could just be an after market purchase and the original case gone with the previous owner but it's worth noting. Also worth noting is the sticker on the back of the headstock - Vic Abrams guitar village as opened in '89 in Germany, and I bought the guitar from my German friend who bought it new I guess, the exact conversations we had when I bought it are a little hazy as this was in 2005/6.  The information I could find regarding the Gibson headstock logo's was inconclusive though and I don't feel satisfied to state anything being proven via this. The main point I feel is the serial and the case and sticker on the back of the headstock pointing to this more likely being produced in '91 per the serial numbers production information. http://www.guitardaterproject.org/gibson.aspx This is the resource I used to obtain the production information for this guitar, the serial being 91761419.  I've contacted Gibson to see if there's anything they can confirmand they've stated that this is a 1991 Les Paul, apologies for the previous misinformation.
