Nice antique Chinese earthenware whiskey jug found near Portland, Oregon.  It has an overall crudely applied brown glaze with small tan spots all over.

It is perfect except for a rust spot on the side and a flea size nick in the lip. It measures about 6 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" across the base. There are two pieces of fired clay stuck to the base.

Overall excellent with an uneven surface and crudely made that gives it a lot of character.  A nice looking Chinese utilitarian jar from Oregon. Probably dates from
around the 1870s.
