Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this magnificent antique French faience lidded condiment jar c.1890-1920.

It is signed by Henri Chaumeil who we know was born in 1877 and worked with his father Alcide Chaumeil in their factory in Paris, he did wonderful hand painted decore of quimper, desvres and the east of France. This does have the "combing" that is typical of the Les Islettes factory.

It features a beautiful hand painted flowers and leaves on both sides and the lid.

It is in excellent condition for its age with only a small nip on the bottom foot ring that looks like it has been fixed and is not seen unless you turn it over.

It measures 4.5 inches long, 3 inches wide and stands 4 inches tall with lid.

Add this beautiful antique condiment jar to your morning breakfast table. You can fill it with jelly, honey, mustard or use it as a sugar bowl! This will also make a fabulous gift!
