An Interesting find
Up for your consideration is a very unique stoneware Jug from Peter Powan & Co Groceries and Importers located at 135 & 137 St Paul Street we assume in Montreal Canada. We could not find any information on the actual business.
The jug has a personality of it's own. It has an apology on the upper rim as shown in the pictures, and it appears that there was a defect during the kiln which gives it that added character. This is a cool little crock with a lot of character and is a piece of history. Please review the pictures carefully as to the condition of the jug. We are more than happy to provide additional pictures if you wish. The lighting was incandescent when we photographed and the color is your typical grey.
