The Karcher SC1 Premium Steam Stick cleans 100% chemical free. This steam mop leaves all hard surfaces around the home such as fittings, tiles, hard floors, hobs & extractor hoods sparkling clean. Leaving no surface untouched, the extension hose included in this premium package healps you clean hard to reach nooks & crannies, including tight corners - making it an ultimate & reliable cleaning companion. The SC1 Steam Stick kills 99.99% of household germs, whilst removing stubborn dirt, lime scale & greasy deposits. Ensuring top-to-bottom cleaning around the home is quick & easy, the compact, space-saving design helps you manoeuvere around tight spaces while the classic floor nozzle makes cleaning floors effortless.
How does it work? Steam combined with the bar pressure (psi) gets under the dirt & emulsifies grease allowing you to wipe away any residue soilage. The steam action also kills bacteria, therefore sanitising the surface.
To get the most out of a steamer it is all about cleaning the surface quickly & often rather than restorative cleaning. Stick to this & all cleaning tasks around the home will be a breeze. The Karcher SC1 will work on most surfaces including floors, walls, chrome work including taps & showers, granite tops, UPVC & plastic, windows, ovens & hobs as well as freshening mattresses, carpets & upholstery.
Floors - The SC1 is ideal for ceramics, laminates, sealed wood, quarry tiles & freshening carpets. If you intend to use this machine on unsealed wood you may need to double the cloth on the floor tool.
Walls - Great for both glazed & unglazed tiles, porcelain & most hard wall surfaces. With the SC1's small round brush or power nozzle you can also restore grout work with ease.
Granite - The SC1 Steam Stick combines all the cleaning action you require for kitchen work tops - cleaning, degreasing & sanitising in one fast action. Use a microfibre cloth as you go for a final wipe down & your surfaces will sparkle.
Chrome - Cleans, shines & with regular use keeps the scale build up on taps & showers under control. Also great for removing the residue from soap & shampoo that can build up.
Windows - Add the optional window tool accessory to steam & squeegee in one fast action. just use a microfibre cloth to detail the window afterwards for a complete professional result. Alternatively simply steam your window before using a Karcher Window Vac for perfect, streakfree results.
Ovens & Hobs - If you use the SC1 on a regular basis it will keep the dirt build up in an oven under control. the grease & fat from foods builds up in layers & as such will need to be removed in layers. If you leave grease for a long period the heat from the oven will carbonise the residue, making it very difficult to remove. The SC1 Steam Stick is great on cooker tops & hobs. The inclusive round brush & power nozzle are very useful for cleaning the tighter crevices on these surfaces.
Carpets - One of the most frequently asked questions on Cleanstore is 'can I use a steamer to clean my carpet'? Steamers are good for a light surface clean, spot removal (including upholstery) & sanitising, as well as killing any bugs (including mattresses). Steamers will not give a deep restorative clean (for this you will need a carpet extraction cleaner), however they do keep a carpet in clean condition quite nicely, but as stated earlier its needs to be a quick clean on a regular basis.

Hints & Tips
Always have some microfibre cloths handy as they help speed up the cleaning process, increase the cleaning result & deliver a streakfree finish.
Have enough cloths, for both the hand tool & floor tool, to enable you to change them on regular basis for optimal results.
When machine washing resuable microfibre cloths do not use detergent as this can degrade the cloth.
For consistently great cleaning results descale your steamer on a regular basis, depending on the water hardness in your area.
