You are looking at a 6JS6c tube. This was tested on a Conar 223 tube tester with the test results below. The scale on this tester's meter is "GOOD" between 55 and 100. All my tubes I sell have to be at 70 or higher on this tester unless otherwise stated. All my tubes are guaranteed to be as stated in the ad. Unlike others, my phone number is in ALL my listings. Call me if you need more details about my items. Read the details below -

Test result - 77

Condition - USED.

Box - NO original box.

Comments - Good used tube. These tubes run very hot and it is easy to see just how much they have been used by looking at the bottom. The glass will darken turning brown and sometimes almost black with use. The pins will also turn blue from heat. I have included a picture of the base of the tube as seen for you to judge with. This particular tube looks to have moderate use having the glass starting to brown at the base as seen. Still strong test results. Thanks

This is how I determine the condition of a "NOS" tube.

First off, there is no one that can say for sure that a tube is new. A vintage tube may be 50 or more years old and you will never know it's full history. What I go by is first and most importantly are, the test results. After that I look for heat stress normally found at the base of the tube around the pins. Discolored glass is a good indication of use due to heat. I also look at the condition of the box and print type on it and the tube. Boxes changed over the years and the tube labels changed as well. The tubes should match the box not just by the brand name on them. Having multiple tubes from one sleeve that are date code matched. Knowing where the tubes came from can help. Many factors come into play but you will notice that I will list a lot of my tube as used. They may very well be new but I side on used when I can't be sure.
