SECOND CHANCE! THIS ITEM WAS AUCTIONED IN FEB. BUT THE WINNING BIDDER DID NOT PAY FOR IT.

Here is a pretty Chinese Kraak-style porcelain bowl/dish. This bowl features an unusual "lotus petal" border surrounding a marsh scene with two ducks. This dish measures approximately 7 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 5/8 inches in height. (It is somewhat irregular in shape.)

I believe this dish dates from the late Ming (Wanli) Period -- around 1600.

There is one fine crack perpendicular to the outer rim of the dish and some fritting along the perimeter. In a one place, there looks to be a gold substance embedded. The foot rim has one small chip and there is an impurity in the porcelain in the central cavetto. I have tried to highlight these areas in the photos.
