For sale is a beautiful and dynamic Tama Stewart Copeland Signature Palette Series 10 lug snare drum (#622 of thousands).  I ordered this drum from Sam Ash a few years ago, but injured my wrist before I got it.  It went straight into the closet.  My loss is your gain.  NEW Remo Coated Ambassador batter head installed to finger tightness (NOT seated or tightened; set it up to your preference).  The shell is 5" in depth with no rims attached; 5 1/2" from rim top to rim bottom.  The drum has a "Star Cast" die-cast zinc batter hoop for clarity and tonal balance, and a triple-flanged "MIGHTY HOOP" steel bottom hoop.  The chromed brass 1.5mm shell is 0.5mm thicker than standard 1mm snare drum shells.  MSL35 Chrome Strainer (MCS50A/MCS50B Butt; MS20SN14S Chrome wire).  The Strainer and throw-off are in excellent condition and operate perfectly.  There are NO dents.  Everything is in excellent condition.  Comes with Evans tuning key.

This signature model is a faithful reproduction of the snare drum of "mysterious provenance" that Stewart Copeland played with the Police (and everything else from that time period). Copeland stated that the drum produced sounds that easily penetrate what he called "the dirge from the bass and the ear-piecing sounds of a guitar."
