Antique 1898 edition of the The Songs of Robert Burns, published by the J.M. Dent and Co Aldine House London. Edited by W. A. Craigie, MA. The first such edition was published in 1786.

This timeless and invaluable collection is published in order of composition with added notes and glossaries. A wonderful tribute to Mr. Burns. Dark blue hardback cover with gold inscription. The cover of the book depicts an owl.

Measurements: 368 pages in English
6" x 4" x 3/4" - this is quite a small book

Condition: Please note, there is some noticeable wear, as this antique book has seen quite a bit of love and use.
The bottom half of the spine is missing and worn away, showing the bear binding beneath. The corners of the cover show bumping and wear. The first five pages of the book are detached from the book and have come out of the binding, however all pages are still present and accounted for. Small tearing and chipping to all the edges of each page in the book. The rest of the pages are still tightly in the binding, but feel quite delicate. Page 176 has also come loose from the binding, and has been tucked into it's correct spot. Some of the pages have small holes in them. The spine of the book shows significant wear. The book is free of any writing or makings on the pages.
