Offered is this antique pair of wooden ice skates with steel blades.  The left skate still retains a leather strap with steel rings and buckle.  The wooden skate body is 12" long with a blade length of approx. 13 5/8".  I do not see any brand or manufacturer's name on them, so I am not sure how old these are; possibly as early as the late 1800s?  They are stamped "L" and "R", and also printed and still faintly visible on the right one is "30"; not sure if that is an item number of some sort or what.  It could be the skate length in centimeters (12" is approx. 30 cm) so maybe these are of European origin?

They are in good to very good condition for their age.  The blades have surface rust but the metal is still very solid and the blades are well-attached.  Some of the wood still retains varnish.  The leather strap is still fairly pliable and not brittle.
