Usage tip: we ship our laptops to ship in "Balanced" Windows Power mode (where TurboBoost is switched off), if the you changes it to "High Performance" mode in Windows, then the TurboBoost is enabled. With most gaming laptops, we'd recommend keeping the TurboBoost off. When TurboBoost is on, most i7 laptops' temperature increases a fair bit without much boost to performance. With prolonging longevity in mind, normally switching TurboBoost off is a good choice.
