Here is a brilliant antique hand painted Meissen porcelain plate, a gorgeous gem that bears the crossed swords mark that dates back to 1815.
The edges are scalloped with gold trim and molded basket weave relief.
Measuring approximately 8 3/4" in diameter, this plate is painted in the Kakiemon style and depicts a whimsical setting with bamboo, vines and squirrels.
The colors are crisp and vibrant.
Importantly, this plate is in mint condition with excellent surface preservation and was probably never used.
A very rare find in mint condition!!
Provenance: Private estate, Montreal.
