You are bidding on a lovely and rare 4/4 violin. The violin is over 100 years old and comes probably from Italy. It's labeled Cremona, but it looks like it were made in Venice. The condition of the violin is very very good. In my opinion you just needed to replace the strings and you would have a great violin ready to play right away. The violin has a beautiful tone and you would love it. The violin has a big body influencing the sound into a dark, sweet and powerful direction. I suggest you try the instrument before buying. 

The violin is labeled: Joseph Guarnerius fecit Cremonae anno 1732 IHS

The whole length of the violin is 610 mm and the body 365 mm. Generally speaking the top looks just amazing and the two pieces back is beautiful as a wonderful painting. The violin is very rich in its golden red color and you would just love it; There are no papers accompanying the instrument and I don't guarantee, that the violin is made by Guarnerius or anyone else, but I do guarantee, that the violin is 100-180 years old and represents a very interesting italian work. I hope the violin will find good hands.
