Gorgeous, 100% original Jaeger LeCoultre Galaxy (commonly called a Mystery Dial) solid 14k white gold bumper automatic watch.  Just serviced and working perfectly. You will not find a nicer example. Beautiful horn lugs. The case edges are nice and sharp and the case back markings are also crisp so this watch was not ruined with an aggressive polishing wheel.

The bumper automatic version of the galaxy dial watch is very rare - I only see one to two examples each year and I easily look at over 500 Jaeger LeCoultre watches every day. Try to find an automatic version currently for sale.

The hour markers on the dial are diamonds and so are the "mystery" hour and dial hands - 37 diamonds total. The solid 14k white gold case diameter is slightly larger than 33mm (excluding the original LeCoultre signed crown) and also measures 39mm lug end to lug end. The dial is original. The watch is powered by a Jaeger LeCoultre caliber K812 bumper automatic with 17 jewels.  Circa late 1950s.

In summary, this is a very rare vintage watch in stunning cosmetic and mechanical condition and 100% original. The genuine lizard strap is a brand new aftermarket replacement.
