FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
A vintage Marshall Field & Company midnight blue wool flannel tailcoat, tailored in the U.S.A. and dated 1969. The cloth is heavy by today's standards.
This coat is fully-lined with contrasting sleeve lining, one interior pocket, grosgrain silk faced lapels and buttons, and four-button cuffs.
The size is marked 42 Short but the coat has been altered. It fits my 39 frame well. It’s still a short. Please see the measurements.
NOTE that this coat is too short for our mannequin and the picture above illustrates the most common error in wearing white tie. The white waistcoat should never show below the points of the coat unless you’re holding your arms up.
CONDITION
Condition is used; Good. There is a nick in the satin of the left lapel and a small moth hole at the back of the right shoulder (last picture).

Chest, across under arms laid flat: ~20 1/2 inches
Sleeve, from seam to cuff: 23 inches (2 1/2 inches extra material)
Shoulders, across at top of sleeve seams: 19 1/2 inches
Length, base of collar to hem: 42 1/2 inches

Returns:
We accept returns for a refund for any reason within 14 days of your purchase on most items. For returned items the buyer pays shipping both ways unless the return is due to an error on our part in which case we will cheerfully cover the shipping costs.
