Up for your consideration is a very rare COMPLETE US NAVY JOHN HAND LMC-101-D Boat Compass WW2 Solid Brass Case LIFEBOAT compass. Approved by the US Coast Guard and US Maritime commission. Highly sensitive and very accurate! WILL NEED CALIBRATED.

Typed label on side actually applied by US NAVY for inventory purposes.

Case is brass with brass hardware/tightening screws. And original flat wrench on chain for adjusting the E-W & N-S compensators.

Also comes with the original heavy brass quick connect mounting plate that allows quick attachment/detachment from a surface. Brass Anchor screws on each side are corroded and will need some work to get them loosened.

There are signs of normal wear to the paint and case a few dents on the lid and edges. Liquid is clear. Some corrosion around the brass screws and anchor screws. Is still dusty and has some dirt on the outside case. As seen in the pictures.

It will be packed VERY well with plenty of bubble wrap and protective material to ensure its safe arrival.
