This is a unique diorama of a haunted house on a hill. The base is hand-made of foam on a wooden platform, landscaped with dead grass, weeds and fall foliage. The ghoulish decor includes many parts from many different Aurora/Polar Lights and resin garage kits, such as a mad dog, trees, stumps, twigs, bats, skulls and bones, tombstones, broken-down fence posts and mushrooms. The house itself sits atop a gradual rise at the back, next to a hand-made autumn tree, giving it a faraway forced perspective compared with the large foreground objects. The house is wonderfully weathered and includes ghost and figure images in the many windows, as well as curtains. There are no movement mechanisms with the house. The house is not attached to the base. Beneath the house is a hole through which you can insert a light, which creates an eerie glow. I will include a switched wire that takes a night-light sized bulb. I strongly recommend you use a LED bulb (not included) to avoid creating heat that could melt the plastic house. I used this diorama as a Halloween decoration for many years. It would be very difficult and costly to reproduce today as the model kits are not readily available. It weighs over 4 pounds and is 14 inches tall to the top of the house, the base is 18 long and 12.5 inches wide. I will include the Addams Family house kit box and instructions - which is dated 1995 and was the first monster-related kit released by Polar Lights.
