Here's something pretty rare - a Micro Frets Signature electric. Built  in Frederick, Maryland.
Between 1967 and 1975, Micro Frets built around 4,000 instruments with unique and very advanced features.
Because there are few records for Micro Frets serial numbers, it's difficult to date this instrument. The serial numbers start at 1000, and this one is stamped 5006. Making it one of the last ones built.

Micro frets had several patents, and the most notable were for a fully adjustable metal nut. There's a section for each string, with adjustments for height and compensation - distance from the first fret. These patents held the concepts used by Buzz Feiten and Earvana for fine-tuning intonation.

The Signature used a two-piece chambered body, so they are very light and resonant. The neck is maple, with a rosewood fingerboard .

Guitar players like Carl Perkins and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad used Micro Frets and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode. Genesis' Mike Rutherford converted a Micro-Frets Voyager into a 6-string bass. They closed following the death of its founder, Ralph Jones in 1969.

This Micro Frets Signature is in good working order, with some minor surface rust. Finish is near flawless, missing one fingerboard dot. Needs  setup. No case. No returns. Shipped by UPS insured
