Hardcover bound in black boards with gilt titles to blood-red spine. The dust jacket is NOT price-clipped. There are a couple of small chips present to edges of the panels and to spine corners (see photo). The cover artwork is exceptionally vibrant. DJ has been preserved in an archival mylar sleeve. The volume has just a touch of bruising at head and foot of spine, but is tight and square with sharp corners. The half-title page has a previous owner's inscription above the author's signature. Otherwise, no further writing or marking whatsoever. Pages are slightly age-toned but uniformly clean with NO creasing or dog-ears. A must-have addition to the shelf of any collector of the horror/fantasy fiction genre or true fan of the works of the man with "the ability to imagine that which ought not be".
