*** VINTAGE METTOY / MARX INDY 500 RACING CAR - RARE ***

This is a rare tinplate toy, all 100% original and dates to around the 1950's.

Marked 'Made in Great Britain' to the front.  We believe this to be a British 'Mettoy' version of the US made Marx Toys Indy 500 car.  It is identical, but has no Marx stamp mark and made in the UK, rather than the US.

It has a built in key, but the clockwork motor is not working.  It is also missing its white plastic driver.  Otherwise it is complete and looks fantastic, it even has its original rubber bumper to the front which is usually missing.  It does have play wear throughout but generally looks great and makes a wonderful display piece.
