Volkswagen Rabbit Logo mug signifying 500,000 vehicles manufactured in the VW Westmoreland, PA assembly plant. The date of the accomplishment, March 31, 1981, is also featured on the mug as is the well known VW logo. The Westmoreland plant produced cars for VW from 1978 to 1987. This item was made in England and that mark is displayed on the bottom as it was part of the mug’s mold. The mug is a dark blue with white graphics.

This was given out to employees of VW as a promotional item. A family member was employed there during this time and received the mug. My father, a VW collector, kept it stored away until his death in 2015. It was never used to drink from.
