Hello and welcome to my auction.

Please read the full description to the end.

Here for auction is an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint.

If you are looking at this advert with the intention to buy one of these beautiful and extremely rare cars, you will be fully aware of the facts and figures so I won’t bore you with the specifications.

Chassis No: AR1493-21-383

Engine No:  AR.1315012496

Original 2 number 3 letter cherished number plate.

This is a pre 1959 car which was imported to the UK on 14th June 1962. There are only 2 registered keepers since then, the first UK owner had it from 14/06/1962 until 03/07/2006.

It is showing 40,955 kilometres which is approximately 25,000 miles but I have no history to prove this.

It was last on the road in 1987 but I don’t know when it was last run.

It retains its original UK registration number consisting of 2 numbers followed by 3 letters (worth a bit on its own).

The car moves around freely, it rolls and steers as you would expect but 2 tyres are completely perished and flat.

I can't find the keys for it at the moment but I am still looking so they should turn up (safe place and all that !!)

I have the V5 and all chassis plates.

I haven’t tried to start the engine or even turn it.

I have been told it has white metal bearings and they could be damaged if turned so I have left it alone.

The interior was partially dismantled when it went into storage but appears to be complete apart from the carpets.

The exterior chrome work, bumpers, hub caps and badges

etc were removed and stored indoors so have survived surprisingly well.

The car appears to be complete and unmolested as far as I can see although I cannot guarantee this of course.

Please note this car is very rusty and rotten around the lower areas of all exterior panels and floors although the chassis areas and suspension mountings are really good.

It has unfortunately been stored outside for the last 3 or 4 years which hasn’t helped to preserve the bodywork.

Make no mistake this will be a very involved restoration even for someone with excellent metalwork skills.

Anything is restorable and it would be a beautiful and rewarding car once finished.

You may just want it for spares but that would be a real shame.

That said, there are still a lot of good points with this car.

I have 77 pictures of the car and I can photograph any specific parts or areas should you require them.

I would recommend that you have a look at it before you bid to make sure you are happy with what is available and to make sure you want to take it on.

Please email me and if you want to leave a contact number I will phone you back if you prefer.

I do have the car advertised elsewhere and if I receive a tantalising offer I may be forced to remove it from this auction so don’t hang around until the last minute to bid.

Genuine enquiries only please, I don't have time for dreamers.

I can arrange delivery at £1.25 per mile calculated door to door one way.

Thank you for reading this.

Good luck.

ATTENTION ALL BIDDERS

IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED THAT THIS MAY NOT BE A 750B BUT A 101.

ALTHOUGH I CANNOT BE 100% CERTAIN I THINK IT IS TOO EARLY FOR A 101.

I HAVE BASED MY DESCRIPTION ON INTERNET RESEARCH ETC.

IF THERE IS A DEFINATIVE WAY OF KNOWING PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

ALL CHASSIS NUMBERS ARE IN THE LISTING IF THIS HELPS.

I GOT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FROM WIKEPEDIA:

Restyling 1959

A new version of the Giulietta debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1959. The fuel tank was now incorporated in the right rear fender and was equipped with a door. The nose was redefined with more rounded wings, recessed lights, new headlights and grille rings revised with horizontal bars. The interior was much more organized and the dashboard instruments had an elongated bore including the tachometer. The series number was changed from 750/753 to the 101 series.

MY CAR HAS THE FUEL FILLER INSIDE THE BOOT WITH THE TANK UNDER THE BOOT FLOOR AND THE CLOCKS ARE FLAT FACED NOT RECESSED.

SORRY IF THIS CAUSES ANY CONFUSION.
