This is for my Classic 1992 Citroen BX17 TZD Estate. It is in very good condition for a 19 year-old car and has the velour interior, a towbar with electrics, and the original dustbin-lid wheel trims. The car has done just over 144,000 miles and is sold with 8 months MOT and 6 months tax.

The BX has never let me down in all my years of ownership. The engine is good and pulls strongly. It is capable of nearly 60 mpg. The suspension rises and falls as it should. There is a small ding in the front offside bumper area, done while parking near a gate, and which I have never got round to repairing. Over the years, any small amount of rust that appeared in the usual trouble-spots  has always been identified and promptly dealt with. The tailgate hinges have been reinforced, along with the front pillar check-strap mountings.

I am only the second owner of this car. It has been regularly serviced, and I have most of the MOTs since 1995.  It is being sold because I have been offered a 2.1 Xantia Estate.  I will be very sorry to see the BX go. It has served me well, and I believe it will continue to do so for the next owner.

The car starts well, drives well, it does not chuck out any black smoke, the gearbox is good, the tyres are OK, the exhaust does not leak, the suspension works as it should, and the rear wheels are vertical not splayed. The interior looks fine and there are no rips or marks on the seats.

This is a very solid BX TZD Estate. It is in good condition for a 19 year-old car but it is NOT a Rolls-Royce so if you are expecting it to be like one, please do not bid.

It is re-listed here because a zero-feedback buyer kept me waiting for nearly three weeks before coming to pick up the car. She got me to tax it, kept me talking in the rain for two hours while her partner crawled all over it checking every nut and bolt, then went away "to think about it."

So please remember you bid to buy - not to waste my time, kick tyres, find faults, try to haggle, or go home to think about it. Zero or negative FB buyers please email your contact details and phone number before bidding. This will reduce the possibility of bid cancellation. It will also weed out any more time-wasters, and make life easier for genuine bidders.

A £100 PayPal deposit required within 24 hours of the end of the sale, with the balance in cash on collection. Ideally, the vehicle should be moved within three days. Beyond this, any flexibility is at my discretion. See my feedback and bid with confidence. A low starting-price and no reserve.
