The Lamy cp1 is part of a family of pens of a similar shape produced by Lamy, including the Linea and the st. cp allegedly stands for cylindrical pen which is a good place to start with the description! Designed by Gerd A Muller (who also designed the iconic Lamy 2000), the pen won the Busse long life design award, so should not wear out quickly. A skinny pen, equally suitable for women and for men who like thinner pens, the cp1 has a spring loaded clip and a ribbed grip section. 3 different finishes available, including the luxurious platinum guilloche. Guilloche (pronounced GIOSH) means a finely engraved repetitive pattern, giving a great feel in the hand. The tactile matt black, and brushed stainless steel finishes are on a plain base.
