The camera you are viewing is a used Nikon F2 with a Photomic Finder DP-2 in excellent user condition. A world renown professional workhorse, this F2 is solid and sure. Showing moderate brassing, especially on the bottom edges, it carries the cosmetics of use. There is no sign of abuse or damage. The shutter works perfectly at all speeds. Flash sync fires as new. The viewfinder LEDs function as they did in 1971, when LEDs were few and far between. The heft and feel of the F2 speaks of it’s professional pedigree.
Designed to fit any Nikon F2 camera, the Photomic Finder DP-2 incorporates a precise center-weighted CdS exposure metering system coupled to the lens-aperture and shutter-speed controls. Instead of the old hard to see meter needle, two bright red LEDs in the viewfinder, one marked + and one marked -, illuminate to indicate correct exposure. The lights are also visible on top of the finder. Besides providing easy-to-see metering information even in poor light, the finder extends meter sensitivity down to EV -2 (8 seconds at f/1.4 with an ASA 100 film).
