Superb Chinese Qing Li Fu MK Highly Carved Horse Figure Bamboo Brush Pot

Here for your consideration is a fine sample of Chinese art work, a mid Qing dynasty finely carved bamboo brush pot. It's carved with great detail of group of scholars selecting the best horse from a herd of others. The skillful carving creates multiple dimensions on the surface. It's marked by Li Fu, also known as Sha Shen Zhi, a famous 19th century, mid Qing dynasty bamboo brush pot artist. This brush pot is fine condition and has been well cared for.
