Very impressive cut crystal and silverplate pitcher with glass ice insert. The large, simple cuts create great optic effects. Combined with the simple, clean lines of the silverplate accents, this is a beautiful modernist piece. The pitcher measures approximately 7" diameter at its widest and stands 10 3/4" tall at its highest point. Comes with a glass insert to hold ice. Overall condition is very good. No cracks or chips were observed to the crystal or the glass insert. Some surface scratches to the bottom of the pitcher commensurate with age and use. Silverplate parts are securely attached. The hindged lid and the silverplate parts of the insert are in good working condition. There is some loss of plating on the lid and handle. Some polish residue. Marked on the interior of the lid with the hallmark of Quist. Marked on the exterior Silverplated, Germany U.S. Zone, D.R.G.M.
