This superb vintage mens Longines dress watch features a beautifully designed solid stainless steel case with fancy incorporated lugs, original dial and a famous caliber 12.68Z movement ticking strong and keeping great time. Measuring a full 36.2mm in diameter excluding the crown, this would have been considered a very large mens size timepiece back in the late 40's when it was made and has a wonderful presence on the wrist even compared to today's extravagantly over-sized models. The solid stainless steel case has a truly timeless design with a wide domed bubble-like bezel and heavy integrated lugs which are strong and angular from the front yet beautifully curved and elegant when viewed from the side. Inside the back is fully signed with the E.F.Co Longines winged hourglass logo then Acier Inox with model number 23735. The original factory printed dial is also in excellent condition with square hour markers to match the lugs, printed outer minute track and signed Longines with sub-seconds at 6:00. As you can see in these pictures there are a couple of little nicks but overall the look is still bright and beautiful. The hands and markers are gold in color and give the watch that great two-tone look. Within is the true gem of this vintage Longines, a sparkling bright caliber 12.68z high-grade 17 jewel movement signed Longines with a serial number dating the watch to 1949. We have not had a service performed, so this watch must be sold as is, but it is ticking very strong and has kept great time for several hours after a full wind so I am quite confident, ready to wear. Comes on a dark brown 18mm wide genuine leather strap with stainless steel buckle. A very classy and desirable over-sized vintage Longines timepiece with a sharp dress look and truly unique design. The shipping charges are always based on the actual shipping cost and will be done as inexpensively as possible unless the buyer requests a faster shipping service. Unfortunately because of Paypals new rules ALL items sold over $80 must be shipped with a tracking number. This will be by Canada Post Trackable Post, Expedited Post (USA/Canada), Expresspost Worldwide or for the case of higher value items, sometimes we use Fedex Courier. The cost of these services will be covered by the buyer, so please inquire to get precise quote if you are bidding on a higher priced item.
All items bound for ITALY or South America sold for over $50 must be sent by Expressmail or Fedex at a cost of approximately $75.
