ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1970s jacket patch for the United States Navy Patrol Squadron 22 (VP-22). The patch was made in the Philippines. It reads PATRON TWENTY TWO and shows a blue seabird flying above the waterline as a submarine passes beneath it.
VINTAGE: Circa early 1970s (Vietnam War Era).
SIZE: Approximately 3-7/16” in height and 4-1/16” in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.
ATTACHMENT: None.
MARKINGS: None.
