Late 18th or early 19th century pair of die shakers and six bone dice. The dice of various sizes all bear the mark of King George III (George Rex). The crown and “GR” puncheon in red denotes duty paid for the Stamp Act of 1765.  The red-stained turned bone dice shakers have ribbed interiors and are slightly waisted with a laurel-ringed centers. The pieces are in excellent condition, with minor wear to dice and scratches and cracks on the shakers (see pictures). A rare grouping of early dice with historic significance.
