Item Condition- Clock radio is clean and in excellent, used condition. This item has been previously owned, so it does show
some light wear from home use. There are some light scratches on the clock's face, and what appears to be a small dab of pink nail polish by the right side microphone port and on the top of the cassette deck door (see photos). The battery backup door is missing and the 9v battery connector snap is missing a terminal, rendering battery backup inoperable (see photos). Please see pictures for full
item condition.
What we tested*Please
note that testing is done as a courtesy only to better inform you of
the item's potential capabilities. We are not trained technicians, so
all items are offered for sale “AS-IS,” with no warranty or guaranty of
any kind, expressed or implied, as to merchantability or fitness of this
equipment for use or any other purpose.- Power up: Radio powers up and the fluorescent clock dial lights up. The "Stereo" indicator LED will illuminate when tuned to an FM Stereo signal and the display dimmer will adjust the brightness according to the amount of ambient light.
- Radio: Radio will tune to stations in both AM and FM bands and the stereo audio from both speakers is clear and crisp. Rotating the "Balance" knob adjusts audio levels from left to right appropriately and rotating the "Tone" knob adjusts the audio tone quality as well.
- Alarm: All three alarm functions (radio, buzzer, and tape) are tested and working. Pressing the "snooze" bar resets the alarm for a short interval.
- Cassette Deck: Tapes will play, rewind, fast-forward, and pause. The auto-stop function can be a bit finicky on rewind, activating sometimes but not always. Setting the function switch to "tape," the alarm switch to "radio," and leaving the "play" button depressed will activate the cassette deck at the time selected for the alarm. We were unable to test the record function as we do not have any blank tapes on hand.
- Knobs/Switches:
All knobs, switches, and buttons appear to be functional. The switches click positively when
being moved between positions and the knobs rotate easily and freely. Buttons are responsive and functional when pressed.
