The Hublot brand was born. Carlo Crocco, the Milanese watch afficionado, created a spare, clean and definitive brand. The Hublot porthole-based watch line is instantly recognizable. The twelve screws around the bezel not only act as hour markers, but also accentuate the naval theme. The unique case designs were fused with unique straps. With the arrival of Jean-Claude Biver of Blancpain to the halls of Hublot, and the Introduction of the fusion-based Big Bang line, the brand's stature has been amplified. The Big Bang, with its high tech 21st century conglomeration of materials, won Wristwatch of the year in 2005. The Big Bang is the quintessential key to the new Hublot Fusion concept. The featured watch is Automatic the Hublot Chukker Bang Titanium case, measuring 44mm diameter, Fixed black ceramic bezel with 6 H-shaped titanium screws with titanium grid. Black dial with luminous hands and luminous stick hours markers. Luminous hands and Index hours markers. Minutes markers around the outer rim. Date Display at 6 o'clock position. Small seconds sub-dial. 7-min 30 counter which is exactly the length of one period of play, or "chukka" as it is called in the world of Polo. Functions: Date, Hour, Minute, Second. Watch also comprises with a scratch resistant sapphire Crystal, Solid caseback. Brown (calfskin) leather strap With Deployment Buckle, and water Resistant 100 meters/330 feet.
The unique titanium metal guardrail is inspired by the polo-stick and polo ball, which can be removed on the Big Bang’s 44 mm diameter case, fit closely with the bezel to protect the sapphire crystal mirror. The small second hand is located at 3 o'clock position. The watch is equipped with Polo fly back automatic chronograph movement, its unique because the running time of the seven minutes and 30 seconds timer echoes that of a round of polo match (Chukka), with the hand of the small timer running around within 30 seconds, this is the reason for the watch's name--Chukker Bang--which is truly a tribute to this great sport event.
