Up for sale is a HAND MADE piece of art designed and created 100% by me. It is made out of 16 gauge stainless steel. I really like this gauge as it has a nice feel to it, but does not make the item too heavy for hanging. In fact, typically you can easily hang this piece without finding a stud in the wall.

The piece is cut out of the stainless steel, by hand, with a plasma cutter. I do not use any kind of automated machine to mass produce these! These are hand-made in my shop, one at a time! There will be slight differences between each one I make. I feel this makes each one a true orignal! I'm in several galleries throughout the US, and have been commissioned to make many custom ordered pieces. Each piece is signed and dated by me. This is the perfect addition to your nature/ fishing styled home, cabin, room or office!!!

After cutting the piece out, I then grind it, bend it, and heat-treat it (to produce beautiful golds, blues & purples), and add the stripes that are typical to these fish. You'll hardly believe how much this piece shines and shimmers as you walk past it, when there is any kind of light on it at all! It is also quite realistic looking!

This piece is intended for indoor hanging. It could be placed outdoors, but rust would likely develop on the back of the piece due to being welded with traditional coated steel wire. As is usually the case, the pictures do not do this piece justice. Metal is very hard to photograph. I assure you, you will not be disappointed with your purchase of this piece!

The piece is approximately 24.5 inches long, 11.5 inches tall, and sits off the wall about 2 inches. It is bent in a convex shape. It creates wonderful shadows on the wall as well. This could also be made to order in a size that's appropriate for the space you have to work with. Let me know the dimensions and I can make one just for you. It can be made facing left or right (as shown). I can make it bent concave, make them smaller or larger...just about anything you'd want, so you could arrange them on your wall in a manner you like, creating an entire scene/ school "swimming" across your wall! The possibilities are endless!
