    Diese Auszeichnungsuhr wurde auf Basis des Kalibers 11 - 27 gefertigt und zu besonderen Anlässen vom Zentralkomitee der Sozialistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands an Funktionäre der Partei, Kampfgruppenkommandeure und andere Persönlichkeiten überreicht.

    The watchmaking name of A. Lange & Sohne was first established in 1868 by Adolph Lange in the town of Glasshutte, Saxony. The firm established itself as makers of distinctive timepieces, and had an illustrious history.
    The firm was named Lange & Sohne until the end of the Second World War. Later it was called VEB Lange & Sohne. Since 1951 - GUB Glashütte.
    GUB is an abbreviation of "VEB Glashütte Uhren Betrieben"(Glashutte Watch Factory). Now the firm is known again with old name Lange & Sohne.
