This wearable art Authorized Museum Reproduction swival ring design has been in style for centuries in Egypt, Greece and Rome. The beetle being the emblem of Khepera, the God of the morning sun, was regarded by ancient Egyptians as a significant symbol of resurrection and immortality.  Scarabs were worn by ancient Egyptians for good luck and immortality.

Possibly New Kingdom, circa 1300-1000 B.C. The meaning of the inscription on the back: "This is a Scarab saying: Tut Ankh Amun, Ruler of Southern Iunu" (namely, Thebes, which we know as Karnak).  Tut Ankh Amun is King Tutankhamun.
