The "1670" Anniversary J. Herbin collection celebrates the rich life and adventures of M. Herbin, a French sailor of the 17th century. From his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax and inks. Each glass bottle has a hand-dipped wax seal cap. Includes a J. Herbin history pamphlet.

J Herbin is said to have kept an emerald in his pocket during his voyages as a good luck charm. These precious gemstones have been treasured for centuries as protective talismans. One of the purest emerald deposits in the world, the Chivor mine, was discovered in the middle of the 16th century by Spanish conquistadors. Chivor emeralds were much in demand, and the emperors and royalty of India, Turkey and Persia sought the New World treasures once the gems arrived in Europe. Emeralds were enormously popular with the Mughal Court, whose emperors referred to them as "Tears of the Moon" because of their opaque transparency.

We ship Monday through Friday. All orders are shipped out within 1 business day of purchase, some items are shipped the same day. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday are shipped out on Monday. All tracking numbers are updated on eBay when the item is shipped.

US orders: Standard shipping for all US orders is a low price, flat rate cost of only $2.95 total per order, regardless of the number of items on your order. Also, shipping for all US orders over $50.00 is free! We also offer a choice to upgrade to expedited shipping for $7.95 total per order. If you would prefer USPS Express Mail or UPS ground service, please contact us for the shipping rates. Standard shipping is typically takes 2-5 business days to arrive, expedited typically takes 1-3 days.

International orders: Shipping is charged based on the total weight of your entire order. If you are purchasing multiple items, eBay should automatically calculate the correct shipping charge for you upon checkout. However if eBay's automatic combined shipping is not calculating correctly after the item is in your cart, choose the option to 'request total from seller' and we can revise the shipping on the invoice if necessary.

We can not modify the customs form, or declare any shipment as a gift. You are responsible for any fees or taxes associated with customs, duties or taxes in your country.
