This is the Tri-ang Minic Ships model of a bulk carrier in the livery of China Steel Express of Taiwan who operate a fleet of 15 Capesize Bulk Carriers transporting coal and iron ore for its parent company China Steel Corporation.
The casting is based on a 100,000+ deadweight ton Capesize bulk carrier with a cargo capacity of approximately 110,000 cubic metres, similar to a series of ships built by Oshima Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Oshima, Japan and Imabari Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Saijo, Japan.
The model is marked on the underside with the Tri-ang Minic logo, "Modern Edition", model number P 640 and the description Bulk Carrier.
