You are bidding on 2 pieces (matched within approx. 10%) of original 1960/70s TESLA ECC803S / 12AX7WA tubes. These are rare tubes made by TESLA, with large O getter, long ribbed plates, non-corrosive pins, controlled heater warm-up technology, and yellow prints. These are industrial-grade tubes designed for long life and rough operating conditions.
The pair for sale does not come in boxes, but both tubes show no usual signs of usage (burned glass etc.), and are in nice optical condition, see photo below. The tubes were also thoroughly tested for leakage and for shorts under both cold and hot conditions. 6/1967 and 9/1970 date codes. Selected from a larger lot of industrial spares. Tested as approx. ~100%:
Tube 1 (48): Ia1= 2.00 mA, Ia2= 1.75 mA / S/gm1= 1.60 mA/V, S/gm2= 1.50 mA/V
Tube 2 (54): Ia1= 1.80 mA, Ia2= 2.00 mA / S/gm1= 1.50 mA/V, S/gm2= 1.60 mA/V
..where new/unused tube should have around S/gm = 1.60 mA/V, good starts at 1.2 mA/V. These are great for hi-fi, as well as for all guitar amps (Marshall, Fender, Orange, Selmer, Vox, Laney etc.) out there. The TESLA ECC803S are on par with Siemens E83CC, Telefunken ECC83 and other great vintage tubes, some like these even better. Do yourself a favor, and re-tube with vintage tubes... If you are not satisfied, I'll take them back.
