Up for auction is a masterwork of enamel on copper by the famous artist Win Ng. The face is a beautiful deep red with rich brown and copper natural forms. The bottom of the piece is a lovely contrasting aqua dusting still revealing the copper surface. The plate measures approximately 8 1/2 inches in diameter and almost 1 1/4 inch deep. The piece is in overall excellent condition with a bright shine on the surface.  There is no crazing, chips or signs of any wear. The bottom is signed "Win Ng San Fransisco 5738." This piece is made by the renowned California artist and industrial designer Win Ng (1936-1991). Win Ng’s enamel work was influenced most directly by his apprenticeship in the studio of San Francisco artist Jade Snow Wong in the late 1940s. He later established his own atelier, and in the early 1960s sold his artwork through some of the more exclusive housewares outlets in San Francisco. This enameled piece is from that period. The plate will be shipped fully insured by USPS Priority Mail. Thanks very much for your time. Please send along any questions.
