A superb example of the work of Emilia Castillo. A vintage hand-hammered Sterling silver sugar bowl and spoon with malachite accents featuring a bird form, a dragonfly, and a flower finial on the lid. The bowl measures approximately 3 1/4" at its widest by 5 1/8" high. The spoon is approximately 4 7/8" long. The total weight is 306 grams/10.79 oz. There is a bit of tarnish on the silver accents of the bird. There is possibly a very small spot of malachite loss on one of the dragonfly's wings. There is a slight bending on the interior ridge of the lid. Stamped on both the jar and the spoon EMILIA CASTILLO MEXICO M.R., TD-85, 925. The jar is additionally stamped with the number 5.
