I am a retired Antiques Dealer who is gradually  disposing of his stock through EBay. All items listed are genuine in my expert opinion, and the condition of the item is as listed. If any item is found to be not as described, or if the condition varies markedly from that given in the listing, then I will give a full money back guarantee upon receipt of the disputed item as long as I am notified within 5 days of receipt. I will also refund return royal mail signed for postage costs. In all other returns the buyer will be responsible for the return postage costs. If there is anything that you are particularly collection, or you have a wants list, please feel free to ask. If it is not immediately to hand (3 storerooms), I will make a note and come back to you if it turns up.

This is an outstanding Example of an Edwardian Art Nouveau Silver Plated Brass & Britannia Metal Trefoil Fruit Dish, with Gilt Finish, from the WMF factory c1905. The bowl of the dish is in the form of a leaf with three divisions embossed with a central leaf. The handle is in the form of a classical maiden in a flowing dress holding the stem of the leaf. The material is brass and Britannia metal finished in silver plate with a gilt finish on the interior of the bowls. Both the handle and the base have a superb patina, whilst the gilt finish is excellent.

The dish bears the marks for the factory, the finish and the brass/Britannia metal body. The dish is shown on page 342 of the 1905 WMF catalogue as item number 103/F3.

The piece stands 19cn high, is 30cm long and is 26cm across. The weight is 800gms. The whole is in perfect condition.
