RARE GOTZ DOLL JOANNE FROM 2002 GOTZ BEATRIX POTTER COLLECTION

I HAVE CHANGED A FEW PICTURES AT THE FIRST OF THE LISTING TO SHOW THAT JOANNE'S HAIR HAS "RELAXED" A BIT FROM THE FIRST PICTURES I TOOK. I HAD WASHED AND SET HER HAIR AND IT WAS LOVELY, BUT HAS NOW RETURNED TO THE STYLE THAT WAS MADE AT THE FACTORY. IT IS STILL LOVELY, JUST NOT QUITE AS CURLY. I COULD RESET IT, BUT IT WOULD NOT HOLD AND I DON'T LIKE WORKING THE WIGS OVER MUCH -- MY HAIR WILL REGROW, BUT THE DOLL'S HAIR WON'T! SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL DOLL AND WOULD MAKE A WONDERFUL GIFT. MAKE ME AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE!

This is a wonderful example of the JOANNE doll. She is 17.5" tall (45 cm) and has a vinyl head, arms and legs with a stuffed cloth torso. She has gorgeous red rooted hair and lovely brown glass eyes. They are not sleep eyes -- they do not close when you lay her down. Joanne has an absolutely beautiful, expressive face. Her outfit is charming and is all original. She is wearing a great little cream and beige checked dress, marked Beatrix Potter Collection, with a light blue bolero jacket with the charming appliquéd rabbit. She has white socks with blue trim and white patent leather-like shoes.  I have included a photo of the Gotz catalog with Joanne shown on the page so you will see that she is exactly as pictured. She is item # 02 69329 and was made and sold by the German company Gotz in 2002. Gotz is famous for making a wonderful product and this doll is highly sought after. She as all her original tags still attached to her jacket. She does not have her original box.

Joanne is gently used. I used her as a model for the clothing pieces I make. I have had her in a display case wearing my own doll clothes. Her original outfit has been kept in a plastic bag to keep the pieces clean and fresh. The only flaw that I can see are a couple of tiny glue stains on one of her shoes. This is not a problem and certainly should not devalue the doll. 

Joanne would make a lovely addition to your doll collection. Or a wonderful Christmas gift for that very special little girl in your life. Remember that Gotz produced these dolls for playing and they will stand up very well. The stuffed body is great for children to hug. She is a very lovable doll for an older child. Do think about her as a special Christmas gift.

I don't really want to sell Joanne but needs must. It is very hard for me. I have loved this doll for many years. I would like her to go to a good home. Please ask all questions before bidding. I do ship FREE to the continental USA. I will ship her internationally but there will be an additional shipping cost for this.
