Company:
Cortebert - Founded 1790

This company WAS the KING of watch making. Fantastic movements and very rare to find good examples.

Since the first pocket-watch, the company has been manufacturing its own movement. Later the production was extended to different calibers to be installed on all Cortebert watches. The production was aimed at maximum quality of the watch, and in a short time the company was able to manufacture watches with a low price and a good movement.

Cortebert was pretty highly rated in horologic world, many models have "Grand Prix" mark on case-back, which are basically medals from Grand Prix Astronomic observatory Geneve. Here are some achievements from world exhibitions and fairs, like

1878. Silver medal -  Paris
1880. Gold medal - Melbourne
1896. Silver medal - Geneva
1906. Silver medal - Milan
1913. Gold medal - Stockholm
1926. Gold medal - Barcelona

Very old and innovative watchmaker company with long tradition. For example, they were he first company who put Incabloc in serial production during early 30's.

Cortebert company is acquired by Omega in 1962.

Later during 60's, Italian company Perseo took most of Cortebert production under it's own brand.

Quote from Wiki:
"Cortébert Production under the Cortébert brand name stopped in the mid-1970s. Cortébert used to be one of the highest regarded premium watch brands, manufacturing their own movements, supplying movements to other brands such as Rolex and introducing a jump-hour movement later adopted by IWC. When the quartz crisis hit the industry in the '70s, the majority of prestige brands ceased production including Cortébert."

Shipping & handling:

There is no thing like "Free shipping". In my mind, it only says to me that shipping cost is already calculated into cost of item. I rather prefer to distinct item cost and shipping cost for the sake clarity and simplicity.

Every watch ill be carefully packed and protected. I will ship using regular Post International Economy service with tracking option or EMS, which particularly depends on destination country.
If possible (depends on destination), I will ask post office for extra package insurance policy.
For more expensive items, it is a must. Shipping mentioned here is estimation price according to practice.
If you prefer some other way of shipping please contact me first.
