Sold by the pair CHROME & NICKEL PLATED zinc die-cast, 3" INCH, 4 HOLE CLEATS used from the mid 50’s to 60’s.  These cleats are nickel chrome plated zinc die-cast and have an 83 that shows on the bottom side of the wide end of the base if it has not been polished off.  
The "Torpedo" top measures 3" long and 0.375 in diameter at the thick end, the base measurement is 2.4" long by 1.4" wide at the widest point and stand 1" tall.  Screw holes are 0.17 “ in diameter tapered down from a 0.3 “ diameter cut on the top of the base.. They weigh about 2.5 ounces (69 grams) each. The mounting holes: the distance between the holes at the wider end of the base is = 0.723 inches apart and the two holes ate the narrow end of the base are 0.62 inch apart.  The diagonal distance is 1.185 inches between the center of the wide end hole to the opposite side narrow hole.  The remaining 5 pairs from a lot of 33 cleats. the Chrome is in variable condition with some minor corrosion pitting or chipping some may had the chrome polished or rubbed off is areas showing the nickel underneath. n.
